Do we serve coffee?
Third Place Teas sells tea only. We have blends with a range of caffeine content, from energizing black teas and matcha drinks, to soothing herbal blends.

Do we serve drinks to go?
All drinks can be made to-go, but we invite you to stay for while. Come relax in our lounge or chat at the bar with drinks in cozy mugs, or grab yours in a a To-Go cup and head out whenever you’re ready.

Is there a discount to bring your own mug?
Yes! Get 5% off any drink when you bring your own mug. You can also buy vintage or new teaware to get the discount. This is to help our environment by using fewer disposable cups.

We offer discounts when you bring your own mug to use fewer disposable To-Go cups. We feature teas that are sourced from sustainable farms around the world, and companies that support conservation and community. Join our Community Night events to learn about composting tea leaves, microplastics in the tea industry, and much more!

What is a Third Place?
Author Ray Oldenburg’s concept of a Third Place is spaces outside home or work/school, where you can meet new people outside your usual social circle. These places can include cafes, bars, churches, and gyms. We encourage regulars to make the space feel like their own, and for community members to help shape our vision moving forward.

Where is Third Place Teas located?
In the heart of downtown Renton, Third Place teas is in the historic Bennett Building at 719 S 4th St constructed in 1953.
